Thanks to all the generous donations, CHHH provided back packs filled with grade-appropriate school supplies for 123 children. Each child also received a gift certificate for shoes. Kindergarten through 12th grade will be well prepared for new school year.
Again this year due to the generosity of contributors, we delivered surplus school supplies to Kent County Schools: South Dover Elementary, McIlvaine Elementary, Fred Fifer Middle, Positive Outcome Charter, Towne Point Elementary, Polytech High and Lake Forest Elementary.
Dawn O’Connell, Heart and Sole project chairwoman, said, “We are thankful for the many community organizations and individual people who contributed school items and monetary donations. Their enthusiastic participation guaranteed our successful Heart and Sole project. In addition to the many other organizations, companies and individuals contributing supplies, CEN-DEL Foundation granted CHHH over $500 from their Community Impact Fund.
